Fun Dives

It all started in the 1960's, when Diver's Paradise started weekly dives for the local diving community and they were called "Fun Dives". Decades later, we are still enjoying our weekly "Fun Dives" meeting at the local Dive Site every Wednesday at 6:30pm during the summer months and on Sundays throughout the fall and winter diving season. We combine cookouts, underwater treasure hunts and specialty dive courses. Please contact us at 419-535-6828 or stop in to the store to get signed up and start enjoying the company of other divers.

Gen "Dynomite" Hansen

Gennifer walked through our doors in the spring of 2002 with a single goal in mind. She wanted to become a dive instructor. She earned the nickname of Dynomite while diving one afternoon with Jerrie and discovering explosives in Salisbury Quarry. The staff made it their personal goals to help her achieve her ambition and in September of 2003 Diver Gen became Instructor Gen. After some time in Florida she decided to make the move to sunny tropical Kailua, Hawaii. It would seem that Hawaii isn't going to be the end of her Pacific meandering though. She has agreed to become the first female dive guide to work at Bikini Atoll Divers in the Marshall Islands. She starts there sometime in the beginning of 2005 and has promised to come "home" to visit her family and friends before heading off to a deserted island in the middle of nowhere. Being that Gen has a penance for finding explosives we think it's only right that she is going to be diving on the ships that were sunk in the atom bomb tests at Bikini Atoll. Now the only question is weather or not she'll ever come back to dive the quarries again.
